What’s new
Everything that has changed on imeaneverything.ai, newest first.
View / Request a Featureand vote on what others have asked forBusiness pages: logos and names
- Fixed: on some business pages the business name was hidden behind the cover photo. It happened when the logo was wide rather than square. Logos now always sit in their square, shown whole, with the name clearly below.
Lost & found
- New: Lost & found. Lost a pet, your keys or a wallet — or found one? Post it with photos, where and when, and neighbors near your ZIP will see it. Find it in the footer, on the home page, or at /lost-and-found.
- Neighbors can reply with sightings in the comments, and you’ll get a notification when they do. When it’s over, press “Mark reunited” (or “Mark returned”) and your post shows the happy ending.
- Your phone number and email on a lost & found post are only shown to signed-in members.
What’s happening locally, on the home page
- Fixed: repeating events. A weekly evening event could be labelled with the wrong day (“Every Wednesday” for a Tuesday), show an hour early or late after the clocks changed, and sometimes list next week instead of tonight. Repeats now keep the same day and time on your town’s clock, all year.
- The home page now opens with “What’s happening locally”: the events, yard sales and job openings near your ZIP, with anything somebody is promoting in your town shown first and marked Promoted. Set your ZIP in the search box and it fills in.
- Anything you promote for $5 — an event, a yard sale, a job — now appears there as well as in the town banner and the feed.
Duplicate listings: a warning, and a way to report one
- Adding a business from your dashboard now checks the directory as you type, the same as sign-up does: if a listing that looks like yours already exists, you’re offered it to claim instead of creating a second one.
- If that listing has already been claimed by somebody else and it’s really yours, there is now a one-press “report it” link that tells a moderator, naming both listings.
- Every business page now has a quiet report flag (next to the star), so a duplicate or impostor listing can be flagged from the page itself.
A second business, transferring or deleting one, and a tidier dashboard
- Sold your business? You can now transfer it to the new owner: open it from your dashboard, use “Transfer ownership” and enter their email. They accept from their own dashboard and it becomes theirs — page, photos, reviews, posts, jobs, team and web address — and you are removed. Any subscription you were paying on it is cancelled.
- You can now delete a business yourself: open it from your dashboard and use “Delete this business” at the bottom. A business you created is removed for good; a directory listing you claimed is handed back and stays in the directory unclaimed. Any web page or listing subscription on it is cancelled first.
- Business accounts can now list more than one business. Your first is free; each additional one is $5 a month, cancel any time. Add it from your dashboard — it stays private until the first payment, then appears in the directory like any other listing.
- On the dashboard, “Share a post” and “Add another business” are folded up by default — click either to open the form.
- Your dashboard now shows what you can do next. Business owners see their own web page ($19 a month), boosting a post into the town feed ($5 a town), and posting a job (free). Everyone else sees their upcoming events and yard sales with a one-tap Promote button ($5 flat), and shortcuts to post a new one.
- The request board now shows only what is still open, planned or in progress. Requests that are done or not planned have moved to their own page, with our answer on each — there is a link at the bottom of the board.
- The email you get when we answer your request now links straight to it.
Events, coupons and promotion for your web page
- Your own web page is now $19 a month, down from $29.
- Fixed: posting a one-off (non-repeating) event failed with “Invalid input”, and so did posting any event from a personal account. Both work now.
- Fixed: Add a business on your dashboard failed with “Invalid input”.
- Fixed: editing a job or an event in the evening could move its dates forward a day, and correcting a typo on one that had already started was refused as “in the past”.
- Fixed: a deal with an end date now runs through the end of that day. It used to come down the afternoon before.
- Removing someone from your team, changing their role or cancelling an invite now tells you if it didn’t go through, instead of always saying it worked.
- We completed a full security review of the site and tightened several things behind the scenes, including how listing claims are verified.
- Fixed: adding photos to your business or your web page failed with “Invalid input”. Uploads work again.
- New members now get a short welcome series by email: a tour when you join, then one tip a week for a few weeks, written separately for neighbors and for business owners. Every email has an Unsubscribe link, and there is a switch for it under Settings. If you were already a member, you won’t be sent it.
- Fixed: Cancel subscription on a web page could answer “Could not open the billing page”. It now opens Stripe’s cancel step reliably, and if something is wrong it tells you what.
- The directory now checks for newly opened businesses in every town on the 1st of each month and adds them, so new places show up without anyone having to submit them. If yours appears, press Claim this listing on its page to take it over. It’s free.
- Pick your own color for your web page. Choose one of ours or use the color picker to match your logo; the button text and headings adjust automatically so they stay easy to read.
- Your web page settings now start with Your photos: upload pictures there and your page uses them at the top, beside About, behind the closing banner and in the gallery. It tells you which spots are using your photos and which are still using ours.
- Web pages have a new look: a full-width photo at the top with your headline over it, your phone, location and hours in a strip beneath, services as cards, a closing banner with your call button, and a tidier contact section. If you haven’t added photos yet, your page uses photographs that suit your kind of business; add a cover or gallery photos to your listing and yours take over.
- Fixed: when a form came back with an error — a missing field, a date in the past — everything you had typed was wiped. Forms now keep what you entered so you only fix the one thing. This covers events, jobs, yard sales, requests, business details, deals and the rest.
- Deals and coupons can now carry a picture and a YouTube or Vimeo video. Tap any deal, on a business’s listing or its web page, and it opens with the full picture, the video, all the details, the code and the end date.
- Web pages now have a Send us a message form. What a visitor writes is emailed straight to the business, who just presses Reply to answer. We don’t keep a copy, and visitors never see the business’s email address. Switch it off under Show on the page if you prefer the phone.
- Your web page now shows your upcoming events in a Coming up section. Add one from your page settings with Add an event, and it appears on your page and on the community events board.
- You can add coupons and deals right from your page settings. Each one shows on your web page and on your directory listing.
- Promote your page: the directory banner and the feed ad are on your page settings too, $5 each. While your page is live, people who tap your banner or your ad land on your web page. Prefer your directory listing? Untick the box in your page settings.
- Each of these sections can be switched off under Show on the page.
Your own web page, and a flat $5 to promote a business
- A business can now have its own web page — just your business, with none of the directory around it: your photos, services, hours, deals, reviews, a map and a button that calls you. Find Set up your page on your business’s Manage screen. It is $19 a month, cancel any time, and the page goes live the moment you pay. You write the words yourself, and can change them whenever you like.
- Links to your web page from your settings now open in a new tab, so your settings stay open behind it.
- Cancelling a web page is now one button, Cancel subscription, on your page settings. You confirm on Stripe and come straight back here, where it shows the date your page stays online until.
- Your web page now shows only your business: our header, footer and menu no longer appear around it, however a visitor arrives.
- Fixed: saving changes to your web page failed with “Invalid input”.
- Promo codes work on the web page too: open Have a promo code? before you pay and the discount comes off your first bill.
- Promoting a business listing now costs a flat $5 for a banner slot and $5 per town for a sponsored post, the same as a job, a yard sale or an event, and runs for a month from the day you buy it. No more pro-rating by the day of the month.
- A job you promote in a town now appears on that town’s job board as well as in its feed and banner, even if the business itself is further away.
Promote a job, a yard sale or an event for a flat $5
- Have a promo code? There is now a place to enter one on every purchase: the banner and feed forms in your dashboard, and the promote pages for jobs, yard sales and events. The discount shows on the payment page.
- A new Community & Public section: churches and places of worship, city and government offices, libraries, post offices, police and fire, schools, colleges, non-profits, community centers and museums, for every town we cover. Over two thousand of them, each with an address and a phone number or website.
- Categories can now go one level deeper, so Restaurants can have Mexican, Italian, Greek and so on underneath it. Each has its own page, and browsing Restaurants still shows every restaurant. Businesses can pick the more specific one when it fits.
- Can’t find your category? “Don’t see your category? Request one” now appears under every category dropdown, including when you sign up or create a listing, not just when editing one. We review requests and add them to the list.
- Promoting a job, a yard sale or an event now costs a flat $5 for the banner and $5 per town for a sponsored post, whatever day you buy it. It runs for a month from that day, and stops early if the sale, the job or the event is over before then, so you never pay for days after the thing itself.
- Events can be promoted too. Hosts see a Promote button on the event page, and the option comes up right after you post one.
- Date pickers for events, jobs and yard sales no longer let you pick a day that has already passed.
Request a feature, vote on the rest
- There is now a View / Request a Feature button at the top of this page. Ask for what you want, press Vote on the ideas you would use, and see which ones are planned, in progress or done.
- When we answer a request, the answer shows under it here and the person who asked gets an email.
- Sign-in, sign-up and password reset now pause after too many attempts in a row, to keep guessing scripts out of accounts. A few mistyped passwords will never trigger it.
- Fixed: replying to a comment sometimes failed with an error about a null value.
Replies stay with the comment
- Press Reply under a comment and your answer now appears indented underneath it, instead of as a new comment at the top. Long threads fold after five replies with a “Show more” button.
- Whoever you reply to gets a notification, the same as the post’s owner.
- Addresses on business pages, yard sales, events and jobs now open in Google Maps when you tap them.
Ask about a job, a yard sale or an event
- Every job posting, yard sale and event now has a Questions & comments section at the bottom. Ask the seller if the bike is still there, the business whether the role is part-time, or the host whether there is parking, and they answer in public so the next person can read it.
- The poster gets a notification when somebody asks, the same as for a feed post.
- Fixed: creating an event failed with an error mentioning “timeZone”. Events can be posted again.
Sponsored posts show up sooner
- Fixed: a sponsored post did not appear in a feed with only a few posts in it. The first one now shows after the second post, and in an empty feed it shows on its own.
- Fixed: if your location came from “use my location” rather than a typed ZIP, you saw no sponsored posts for your town. You are now matched to the nearest town within 10 miles.
Paid placements are live
- You can now pay by card to feature your business at the top of the directory, or to run a sponsored post in the community feed. Prices are for the days left in the month, one-time, nothing renews. Find both under Promote your business in your dashboard.
- Jobs and yard sales can be promoted the same way. After you post one you get the option straight away, and there is a Promote button on the post any time after.
- Payment happens on Stripe’s secure page. We never see your card details.
Every listing has a photo
- Every card in the directory now carries a photograph, including listings that had none. Cards next to each other no longer show the same picture.
- Dark mode: pink text is now readable everywhere it appears.
How far away is it?
- Directory cards show the distance from your ZIP code, next to the address.
- Fixed: typing a ZIP code into the search on the home page did nothing. It now sets your location and searches within 25 miles.
Accurate distances
- Fixed: “within 25 miles” was quietly including places up to 35 miles away. Radius filters are now exact.
Featured banner and sponsored posts
- A rotating banner at the top of the directory shows featured businesses within 10 miles of you. Ten slots per town per month.
- Sponsored posts appear between neighbours’ posts in the feed, clearly marked Sponsored, in the towns the business chose.
- Directory cards gained cover photos.
Reviews, ratings and price filters
- Write a review, not just a star rating. Each listing shows a clickable star breakdown.
- Filter the directory by minimum rating and by price level ($ to $$$$). Owners can set a price level on their listing and it shows on their card.
- The same filters work on category and town pages.
- Signing up a business now checks for an existing listing first, so nothing gets listed twice.
- Feed posts appear the moment you publish them, and links in posts are clickable.
Yard sales and requests
- Post a yard sale. Your street address is shown only to signed-in members; everyone else sees the town, the dates and your photos. Sales drop off the board on their own when they end.
- Post a request such as “I need a plumber” and matching local businesses are notified. Businesses reply in public so everyone can see who is responsive.
- Report a post, comment or listing from the menu on it. Moderators can remove content that breaks the guidelines.
Dark mode, a new look and account controls
- Dark mode, following your device setting with a toggle in the header to override it.
- A new pink logo and app icon.
- Delete your own account from Settings. A claimed listing goes back to unclaimed; a listing you created is removed.
- Two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, from Settings.
- Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and Copyright pages, linked from the footer.
- Jobs can have a publish date and a closing date.
- Filter your saved businesses by category.
- The old address imeanbusiness.ai now redirects here.
Install it as an app
- Add the site to your home screen and it works like an app, with a bottom tab bar on phones.
- Push notifications for the things you opt in to, from Settings.
- Town pages moved to /city/ut/heber-city style addresses; old links redirect.
- Event times are shown in the event’s own town.
- The community feed lives at /feed. The home page is the same for everyone.
imeaneverything.ai
- The site is now imeaneverything.ai.
- Around 30,000 businesses across Heber City, Midway, Kamas, Park City, Provo, Orem and Salt Lake City are listed, each with its own page. If one of them is yours, claim it from its page.
- Browse by category and by town.
