What imeaneverything.ai collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

The short version. We collect what we need to show you local businesses near you and to let you post, comment and save things. We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not know where your phone is — only the ZIP code you type in.

1. Who we are

imeaneverything.ai is a local business directory and community feed operated by Triforge LLC (Heber City, UT 84032). This policy covers the website at imeaneverything.ai, including when you install it to your phone’s home screen.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Account details. Your name, email address and password when you register. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see or store the password itself.
Your ZIP code. Used to show you what is near you. See section 4, because this is narrower than most sites and worth reading.
Profile information you choose to add, such as a display name or short bio.
Business information if you create or claim a listing: business name, category, address, phone number, website, opening details, photos, offers and video links.
Content you post — feed posts, comments, photos, events, job listings and star ratings.
Messages you send us, including claim requests and name-review requests.

Messages you send a business through its web page

Some businesses have their own page here with a “Send us a message” form. What you type there — your name, your email address, a phone number if you give one, and your message — is emailed to that business so it can reply to you. We do not keep a copy; what the business does with your message is up to the business.

Information we collect automatically

Basic technical information that any web server receives: IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our hosting and database providers log this for security and reliability.
Essential cookies. One set, used to keep you signed in. See section 6.
Push notification subscriptions, only if you turn notifications on. See section 7.

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not use analytics services, advertising pixels, session recorders or any third-party tracker. There is no Google Analytics, Meta pixel or equivalent on this site. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

3. Business listings we did not create

Most listings in this directory were not created by their owners. They come from the Overture Maps Foundation, an open map dataset published under CDLA Permissive 2.0, which permits commercial use and republication. These listings contain business contact information — name, category, address, phone, website — of the kind a business publishes so customers can find it.

If a listing is about your business, you can find it and claim it to take control of it, correct it, or ask us to remove it entirely. There is no charge for any of that. See Copyright & Listing Removal for how to make the request and what we need from you.

A directory listing is normally business information rather than personal information. But for a sole trader working from home, a business address and phone number may also be their home address and personal number. We treat removal requests of that kind seriously and do not require you to prove a legal entitlement before we act.

4. Location — ZIP code only

We show you what is nearby using the ZIP code you type in. We convert that ZIP to the approximate centre point of the ZIP area and search outward from it by the radius you pick.

If you have not set a location, we may offer you one. Every request to a website carries an IP address, and our hosting provider turns that into an approximate city before the page is built. We use it for exactly one thing: to ask whether you would like to browse near that city. We never apply it on your behalf. Nothing changes about what you see unless you press the button, and if you have already set a ZIP — or you are signed in with one on your profile — you will not be asked at all, so travelling never quietly re-points your feed away from home.

An IP address places you within a city or a metropolitan area at best, and is often wrong by some distance. We do not store it. It is read from the request, used to compose that one question, and gone when the page finishes rendering. If you accept the offer, what gets saved is the same thing a typed ZIP saves: a pair of coordinates and a place name in a cookie on your own device. If you decline, we remember only that you declined, so we stop asking.

We still do not use your device’s GPS. The site is configured to block access to browser location entirely, so it cannot request or receive your precise position even if a future page tried to — which is also why you have never seen this site ask permission to know where you are. That is a different and far more precise thing than the city estimate described above. A ZIP code is an area typically containing thousands of people; it does not identify where you live.

Businesses are a separate case: an imported listing carries the coordinates of the business premises, which is public information about a place of business rather than about a person. Listings created at signup are placed at the centre of their ZIP code, and are shown as approximate for that reason.

5. Photos, and the data hidden inside them

Photos taken on a phone usually carry hidden metadata, including the exact GPS coordinates where the photo was taken. Publishing that with a photo can reveal a person’s home.

Every image uploaded here is re-encoded on our server before it is stored. That process removes EXIF metadata, including any location data, and it happens to every upload without you having to ask.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies for two purposes, and neither is advertising or analytics. Keeping you signed in — set by our authentication provider and strictly necessary for the site to work. And remembering the location you chose to browse: the ZIP or place name, its coordinates, the radius you picked, and whether you have declined our offer to guess a starting point. Those are preferences you set, they stay on your device, and clearing them just returns the site to showing everything nationwide.

There is no advertising or analytics cookie here to consent to or refuse, and nothing tracks you between websites. That is why you are not shown a cookie banner.

We also store a small amount of information in your own browser, which never reaches us: whether you dismissed the “add to home screen” prompt, and how many times you have visited (used only to avoid showing that prompt to first-time visitors).

If you install the site to your home screen, your browser stores our images and icons so it loads faster. That store deliberately holds no pages and no personal information.

7. Push notifications

Notifications are off until you turn them on, per device, and require your browser’s permission. Turning them on stores an address your browser gives us, which lets us deliver a notification to that device. We store nothing else about the device beyond a short description of the browser, so you can recognise it later.

Notifications never contain private content. They tell you that something happened — that somebody commented on your post — and not what was written. A notification appears on a lock screen where anyone nearby can read it, so the detail stays behind the tap.

You can switch notifications off for one device, or for your whole account, at any time in Settings.

8. How we use your information

To run the service: show listings, publish what you post, and keep you signed in.
To show you what is near you, based on the ZIP you provide.
To notify you about activity on your own content, by email or push, both of which you can turn off.
To send you a short series of welcome emails when you join, about a week apart, explaining what the site does, including its paid features. Every one has an Unsubscribe link, and you can switch them off under Settings.
To send occasional announcements about the service. You can ask us to stop.
To moderate content, investigate abuse and enforce our Community Guidelines.
To keep the service secure and to comply with the law.

We do not use your content or your activity to train advertising models, and we do not profile you for advertisers.

10. What is public

Be aware which parts of the service are visible to everyone, including people who are not signed in:

Public: business listings, ratings you give, events, job postings, and business profile pages. Search engines index these.
Signed-in members only: the community feed and its posts and comments.
Private to you: your saved favourites, your email address, and your settings.

Anything you post publicly may be seen, copied and shared by others. Deleting it removes it from the site, but does not retrieve copies other people have already made.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live — including under Utah's consumer privacy law, California’s, and the GDPR — you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, and to object to certain uses. We extend these to everyone who asks, regardless of where they live.

You can do some of this yourself: edit your profile and ZIP, turn email and push notifications on or off, and delete your own posts, comments and photos, all from Settings and your dashboard.

You can delete your account yourself, from the bottom of Settings. It asks for your password and for you to type the word DELETE, then removes your profile, your sign-in, your favourites, ratings, comments, posts, events, job postings, and any business page you created here. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email privacy@imeaneverything.ai from the address on the account; we aim to complete those requests within 30 days.

One thing survives, and we would rather you knew before you pressed the button than after. If you claimed a business listing that was already in our directory — one of the listings we compiled from public map data, described under business listings we did not create — that listing does not disappear when your account does. It goes back to being unclaimed. Everything you added to it is deleted: your description, logo, cover photo, gallery, deals, video and any team members you invited. What remains is the business name, address, phone number, website and category that were in the directory before you ever claimed it. A business listing is information about a business, not about you, and deleting an account is not a route to removing a business from the directory — that is a separate, free request on the listing removal page. Business pages you created here yourself are deleted outright, because those were never ours.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

12. How long we keep things

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Content you post stays until you or a moderator removes it, or until the account is deleted — with the one exception described in section 11, where a business listing you claimed reverts to unclaimed rather than being removed. Records of moderation decisions are kept afterwards so that repeat problems can be recognised, and a listing hidden by a moderator stays hidden even if the account that provoked it is deleted. Push subscriptions are deleted automatically once a device stops accepting notifications.

13. Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Access to data is enforced by the database itself rather than only by application code, so a bug in a page cannot expose another person’s private data. Uploaded files are inspected and re-encoded server-side rather than trusted. We keep a written record of our security reviews.

No service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your personal information we will tell you and any regulator we are required to notify.
